• Here are some helpful hints for setting up a positive homework environment at home:

    1.       Makehomework funset up an office for your child at home where he/she canstore all the supplies necessary to completing his/her homework

    2.       Set up a designated time for homework.  Some students work better right after school, while other students need a break.  Talk to your child to decide what is best for him or her.

    3.       Set up a schedule for long term projects.  Together decide what parts of the project need to be done first, second and last and write due dates on a calendar. 

    4.       Schedulebreaksfor instance have your child complete one piece of homework andthen take a 5 minute break before starting the next assignment.
